JOB SUMMARY
As an integral member of the Staffing Office, the Business Intelligence Analyst acts as internal consultant to senior management, directors and managers providing data analysis and interpretation supporting fact-based decisions improving revenue, controlling costs, and improving patient care. Provides complex statistical analysis of clinical, business and operational systems for senior, medical, and operational staff.
Involves analysis of complex business problems using data to provide insight to decision makers. Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences. Develops forecasts, recommendations, and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge. Works with business and/or clinical units to understand and prioritize data and information requirements.
Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required/available data elements. Optimizes the performance of enterprise business intelligence tools by defining data to filter and index that add value to the user. Develops business cases to support enterprise-wide business intelligence solutions.
Technical leader with a high degree of knowledge in the overall field and recognized expertise in specific areas; problem-solving frequently requires analysis of unique issues/problems without precedent and/or structure. May manage programs that include formulating strategies and administering policies, processes, and resources; functions with a high degree of autonomy.
Applies advanced knowledge of business intelligence practices to lead complex projects requiring advanced analytics to support operational efficiencies and strategic planning. Resolves highly complex problems requiring in-depth analysis of variable factors.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• A Bachelor's Degree in related area; and/or equivalent experience/training.
• Five (5+) or more years of experience in project management, business analysis or other relevant area.
• Advanced project management skills.

Thorough knowledge of organizational or initiative processes, protocols and procedures.
• Demonstrated knowledge, experience, and/or certification working with Epic data and Epic Clarity.
• Demonstrated familiarity with current Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, or SAP
• Advanced knowledge of common organizational-specific and other computer application programs. Ability to apply knowledge of systems to resolve problems, recommend improvements and develop new systems and processes.
• High level proficiency using Excel. Strong use of database and spreadsheet functionality to analyze data and create end user applications. Ability to work with a variety of data sources - mainframe, network and local data.
• Excellent oral/written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with strong ability to multi-task in a high-tech, high energy environment. Strong communication and skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and influence, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to learn quickly, reason, synthesize and generalize based on information obtained. Strong analytical and research skills with attention to detail and ability to summarize research and analysis into concise and relevant documents and presentations.
• Ability to coach, facilitate, and influence people. Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professional associates across multiple departments, including cross-functional teams with members from both business and technical units.
• Excellent relationship building and group facilitation skills, with proven ability to apply skill set in diverse or resistant work groups while exercising diplomacy and maintaining confidentiality.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• MBA or related
• PMP/Lean Six Sigma Certification or equivalent certificate or training.
