Job Summary/Job Purpose
The Program Management Office is the information hub for projects and programs within the portfolio and involves tracking/reporting, assurance/quality control, information management,
financial tracking, risk/issue tracking, change control, support and knowledge management/learning from experience. The Program Management Office will add value through the knowledge, skills and experience of its staff. The Technical Project Manager will help build out and support the Program Management Office at the Innovation Lab, including: tracking status of project deliverables and milestones; supporting the adoption of the project lifecycle and deliverables; project level risk and issue coordination; monitoring the status of projects; coordination of regular project level reporting cycles and post project reviews. The TPM will report to the Executive Director of Health IT and will help define, develop and implement the new PMO to increase process efficiencies and transparency and is accountable for tracking and reporting on the status of all innovations and ensuring the innovation process runs smoothly.
Participating in the development of a process and technology platform to support innovation workflow and reporting is also an essential element of the job. The Technical Project Manager will help manage, support and continuously improve this technology platform. This individual will also facilitate process meetings and serve as the neutral voice to help enable efficient and effective evaluation and decision making by the Lab team.
