Epic & Tableau Announcement from HIMSS16

Tableau Software announced Monday that it would be pairing with Epic, allowing for greater insights and faster analytics to Epic users.

Tableau Software, a business analytics vendor ranked high in the top business intelligence and analytics vendors in healthcare in 2015, the 2015 KLAS report “Enterprise Healthcare BI: The Search for Outcomes” states.

The integration between Tableau and Epic is expected to include greater detail in population health, as well as dashboards that allow primary care providers to take action on, and even decrease readmissions. Ultimately, the information gathered from these portals will have ease when it comes to sharing and will allow users to come up with a better practice when it comes to workflows and giving customers the power to better handle their data.
