Cerner is now partnering up with Simplee, a healthcare platform for patient finances, to make healthcare billing more transparent and accessible. Cerner will add Simplee’s Patient financial Engagement platform to their revenue cycle portfolio and transition it into its consumer-facing technology. Cerner’s goal is to offer consumers a more personalized healthcare billing process.
Connance conducted a survey in 2018, revealing that patients who were “very dissatisfied” with business office interactions were most likely to not pay their bill willingly. Working with Simplee will help make patients more aware earlier in the process of their financial responsibility rather than at the end. Users will also be able to view their account on their home desktop and mobile devices.
